Membership in the Guild is open to all who are interested in learning more about botanical art. Artists, collectors, and nature lovers are welcome to become part of our efforts to stimulate awareness and appreciation of the art of botanical illustration.
Members are eligible to exhibit their work in our online gallery and in public exhibits sponsored by the Guild each year. Since 1998, our Guild exhibits our members' work in or around the Los Angeles area.
Throughout the year, the Guild sponsors and organizes workshops in various media for our members. Past workshops have featured teaching by botanical artists such as Margaret Best, Martha Kemp, Jenny Phillips, Dick Rauh, Alexander Viazmensky, to name just a few, and master instructors Anne-Marie Evans and Pandora Sellars. Our blog includes information about exhibit opportunities for artists as well as announcements of upcoming exhibits for art lovers and collectors.
The Guild meets several times a year to conduct business, hold educational activities, and plan upcoming events. Periodic mailings and e-mails keep members up-to-date on local activities, technical tips, and available resources.

The annual membership dues is $85 for US Residents, or $100 for non-US Residents, and covers membership in both the Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California and the American Society of Botanical Artists, with all of the benefits for both organizations.
Memberships are for a calendar year, January through December. Those applying for membership after November 1 will receive membership benefits through the next calendar year. The application can be completed on your computer with Adobe Acrobat then printed to mail to us. You also can print the form first and complete it with a pen or dark pencil.
