Botanical artists over the centuries have provided us with a powerful heritage. They sailed with fifteenth century explorers and recorded the plants of newly discovered lands. They captured the beauty of Victorian gardens. They enhanced scientific understanding of medicinal herbs and plants. And they rendered the exquisite beauty of growing things for the pure pleasure of it. Guild members seek to understand that legacy by getting to know the work, lives, and techniques of our predecessors in this tradition.
