Our upcoming Member's Quarterly Meeting on Saturday, March 8 on Zoom will feature guest speaker Tim Thibault, Curator of Woody Plant Materials at The Huntington. Tim's topic will be The Huntington’s magnificent collection of Magnolias, and we will introduce our Magnolia project with The Huntington.

About the Event
Join us for our upcoming March Member's Only Quarterly Meeting on Saturday. March 8 at 9:30 am on Zoom. In addition to a brief BAGSC meeting, our very special guest speaker will be Tim Thibault, Curator, Woody Plant Materials at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. We will be learning all about Magnolias and The Huntington’s magnificent collection. Tim will present a history of the collection and provide us with a map of the Magnolia locations on The Huntington grounds.
Magnolias are an ancient genus, and also the focus of some of The Huntington’s most important botanical conservation work. The Huntington holds one of the foremost collections of Magnolias. Their vibrant blooms range in color from white petals flushed in shades of pink to deep rose or purple or yellow. Magnolias are also known for their luscious fragrances.
