Plumeria and Tropicals at the Los Angeles Arboretum Library
BAGSC Member Exhibition Opening July 2026
Thank you for understanding the Arboretum's need to change the dates of our BAGSC "Plumeria and Tropicals" exhibition. We are excited to have the opportunity to keep our work up on the walls into September.
NEW Submission date: Sunday, July 5th
Please submit your artwork for the exhibition by the new date of Sunday, June 5th using this link to the Exhibition Submission Form
If you have already submitted work to the exhibition and can drop off and pick up your work on the new dates, no further action is needed. If you need to drop off your work or pick up your work on a different date or time, or have any further questions, please email Emily at exhibitions@bagsc.org
NEW Install date and time: Saturday July 11th, 9am – 2pm
Members may also drop off submitted artworks at the Arboretum library between 9am – 3pm on July 8th, 9th and 10th. The Arboretum Librarian will store them in a locked office until they are installed on Saturday, July 11th. If you need to drop off your artwork at a different time, please email exhibitions@bagsc.org to organize a more convenient time for you.

There is no entry fee to submit to this BAGSC Exhibition

Botanical artwork of any Plumeria or tropical plant in any medium can be submitted. Original artwork preferred, but high quality framed archival prints will also be considered. All artwork must be framed. BAGSC and the Arboretum will not be conducting sales, but artists can include contact information or business cards to conduct their own sales. Join us in exploring the Plumeria Grove and Tropical beds at the Los Angeles County Arborteum & Botanic Garden as the Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California depicts "Plumeria and Tropicals" for an Exhibition in the Arboretum Library in July 2026.
BAGSC members are encouraged to create new work or submit finished pieces that depict either plumerias or tropical plants. Ideally the plants depicted will be from the Arboretum's collection, but it is not mandatory. Members may use the Plumeria reference photos by clicking HERE (and scrolling down), or visit the LA Arboretum and work from any tropical plant they desire... Any part of the plant is acceptable, flowers, leaves, whatever inspires you! Reminder: while visiting the LA Arboretum gardens, do not cut any plants.
The Plumeria grove at the LA Arboretum boasts more than 100 beautiful trees thanks to the volunteer effort that Diana Donnellan started in 2014. She has kindly provided BAGSC with photographs to view and use as references to create artwork from.
